A section of text you have marked before moving, deleting or editing it. If you use a Windows word processing program, you can mark a block of text by moving the cursor to the start and clicking and holding down the left-hand mouse button then, with the button held down, moving to the end of the section of text. You'll see the block highlighted in reverse.
